We’re looking for individuals who share our values of prioritizing happiness, ensuring safety, and delivering excellence to our customers. At 40Seven, we provide accurate gas asset surveys for our nationwide clients. Our field data collection surveyors play a key role in finding possible hazards, risks and leakages across the gas infrastructure network covering a variety of locations, buildings and land. Your role will be to communicate survey requirements, schedule and plan appointments, and ensure the surveyors have access to private land and/or property to carry out their work.
Role Overview:
As a Scheduler, you’ll be responsible for coordinating survey appointments, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring smooth project operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build on existing skills and develop expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.
We operate an agile working approach, so there will be the opportunity to work from home, but there will be a requirement to attend the Leeds office on a regular basis to interact with the Gas team.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication of Project Requirements:
- Utilize a ‘cold call’ technique to contact proprietors and/or landowners, conveying survey needs, scheduling appointments, and documenting specific requirements.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of each survey’s scope and specifications to effectively secure confirmed appointments.
Scheduling of Survey Bookings:
- Efficiently schedule surveys, maintaining a clear and methodical approach to monthly workloads.
- Monitor and prioritize monthly work requests from the Project Management team.
- Group and sequence different survey types to create efficient route plans for surveyors.
- Coordinate daily with managers, supervisors, and surveyors regarding ongoing works and reactive tasks.
- Manage incoming spreadsheets of work and update databases with scheduling changes and relevant details.
- Offer additional scheduling support as needed by Project Managers.
- Liaise with external clients when necessary.
- Develop concise survey schedules, including daily, weekly, and monthly plans based on scheduling communications.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a planning or scheduling role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.
- GCSE English and Mathematics grade 4 or above (or equivalent) or equivalent qualification.
Personal Attributes
- Organized and methodical in workload management.
- Effective at prioritizing tasks.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Self-motivated and proactive problem-solver.
- Committed to continuous self-improvement.
- Embraces teamwork and collaboration.
- Forward-thinking mindset.
The role is a full-time role – 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, and due to the nature of some of our operational contracts, there may be the need to support the team over a weekend on a rota basis.
